Types of Testing Offered at Payson Sleep Services, Inc.

Your physician will order the type of testing you will need. If at any time, you do not understand what your physician has ordered, do not hesitate to ask us for clarification. We are here to provide you with a non-anxiety experience so that the tests that we run provide us with accurate data.

Split-Night PSG - If necessary and possible, the study will be "split" into 2 parts allowing the patient to be diagnosed and treated in the same night. If not possible, the patient will be scheduled for a 2nd night for CPAP titration, if needed.

Diagnostic PSG - This is an all-night diagnostic study only.

CPAP Titration PSG - This is appropriate for patients who have had an abnormal PSG within the last year that demonstrates obstructive sleep apnea, or any other condition for which CPAP may be indicated.

CPAP or Bi-level PAP Re-titration PSG - This is appropriate for patients who have already been on CPAP, but may be having a recurrence of symptoms or difficulty tolerating the device.

(MSLT) Multiple Sleep Latency Test - Indicated for suspected Narcolepsy, or to document degree of daytime sleepiness.

(MWT) Maintenance of Wakefulness Test - Quantifies daytime alertness; may be used to evaluate effectiveness of various treatments on excessively sleepy patients.

Your Accommodations

Each room provides you with an adjustable bed with a pillow-top mattress and added soundproofing to help you fall asleep and stay asleep. There is a television with a built-in VCR/DVD player in each room to help you relax and feel at home. An assortment of snacks and beverages are available, or you may bring your own.
